10 April 03- Team Tyrrel Merchandise poised to take Long Beach Grand Prix by Storm

Fans of the famous Formula One World Championship winning Tyrrell Racing Organization will be ecstatic to see the return of Team Tyrrell merchandise, to be available at the Long Beach Grand Prix.

for the first time in many years, historic racing cars will be a major support event during this year's twenty-ninth annual Long Beach Grand Prix. The Historic Grand Prix, a group intent upon the restoration and running of Formula One cars, ranging in years from 1967 to 1983, will run on Sunday morning before the Champ Car race. One of the Historic Grand Prix teams in force is Elf Team Tyrrell, with John Dimmer's ex-Jackie Stewart Tyrrell 004, and John Delane's ex-Francois Cevert Tyrrell 002. Alongside the Elf Team Tyrrell paddock is the Retro Racegear table where Tyrrell fans can purchase Elf Team Tyrrell and Team Tyrrell merchandise.

Among the items featured will be the recreated "burn rubber" Tyrrell T, made famous after the 1973 World Championship Tyrrell Team stormed Formula One racing. Ken Tyrrell, Jackie Stewart and Francois Cevert trounced reigning champion and McLaren driver Emmerson Fittipaldi with a number of one-two finishes in the blindingly quick Tyrrell 005 and 006 machines. The 1971 World Championship, an even more dominant season for Tyrrell with the 002, 003, and 004 machines, was never celebrated with such a shirt. Retro Racegear has chosen to pay homage to the World Constructor's Champions of 1971, Team Tyrrell, with a shirt depicting the 1971 car, Tyrrell 003.

This t-shirt is further enhanced by it's being packaged in a compressed form making the silhouette of the Tyrrell race cars. It is believed that this t-shirt will make a great novelty item, Tyrrell racing fans wanting to buy one for their shelf and one for their back. The t-shirt is 100% cotton, and it is featured alongside other Tyrrell items like polo shirts, hats, patches and decals. Stop by the Retro Racegear table to pick up a free Elf Team Tyrrell postcard showing a picture of Elf Team Tyrrell Drivers Jackie Stewart winning the Monaco Grand Prix in 1971 and John Delane winning his class in the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco.

Retro Racegear will be present to sell Tyrrell merchandise wherever Elf Team Tyrrell races, from Long Beach to St. Jovite, Canada. Also look for Historic Grand Prix merchandise in the same locations.

Retro Racegear, LLC, is a privately held, family company, dedicated to reliving the glory days of motorsport through authentic, fine quality merchandise. The company was formed when the Tyrrell family, owners of the licensing rights to Tyrrell Racing Organization trusted the Retro Racegear founders to recreate merchandise for the championship-winning Tyrrell Racing Organization.
